Give your child the best opportunity to develop academically, spiritually and socially.
Emmaus College is a coeducational Catholic secondary school set in a peaceful, semi-rural location in Kemps Creek. From the strong foundation set by our first Principal, a Sister of Mercy, the Mercy charism continues to flow through our school and informs how we live out the Gospel values each day. Emmaus students have a unique understanding of what it means to journey with Jesus, and to be people of faith, mercy, respect, welcome, and service. Like the two disciples on the road to Emmaus, our community strives to recognise Jesus in our lives, in each other, and especially in the vulnerable and needy in our broader community.
We are committed to providing each student with a learning environment that is comprehensive, inclusive and challenging, and that aims to engage each student in purposeful and personalised learning.
Striving for excellence
Emmaus students are challenged, encouraged and supported to achieve their academic and personal best. Our professional staff works together to provide our students with every opportunity they need to grow and develop as responsible citizens and compassionate people.
We offer students:
- the chance to be part of a community of learners and educators committed to consistent improvement
- guidance on their personal spiritual path
- a relevant, modern and practical education
- a comprehensive curriculum tailored to each student’s needs
- meaningful connections with their peers, school and parish communities
- encouragement and support to pursue their dreams
- an environment promoting personalised learning
Emmaus sees itself as one member of a learning community that encompasses the local primary schools, parishes and wider community. As such, the College works in partnership with these, sharing facilities and resources wherever possible.

Walking on the road with Jesus
The image of the road and walking on the road from the Emmaus story is a powerful one for our community. Students experience a number of "journeys" in their time at our College--on the road journeying through each year and stage of learning, being on the road with friends, and stretching oneself to become the best person we can be. But by far, the greatest journey students travel in their time at Emmaus is the journey alongside the poor, forgotten, lonely and outcast. It is in these people that Emmaus students engage and come to recognise Jesus' presence in them.
It is through our extensive social justice and outreach program that students get the chance to reach out to others.
A 21st Century learning environmentEmmaus College is a place where imagination, reflection and love of learning are treasured. Our school is full of professional teachers working together to meet your child’s needs in spaces that are designed for up-to-date learning. There are places for students to work together and for working independently. There are also places where the latest state-of-the-art technology and well-designed facilities support your child's learning.
Emmaus College is a community of learners, thinkers and achievers, and a safe place for your child to belong, develop friendships, and be supported and cared for.
